Hello all,
I have been shopping for after market parts and was wondering. Are the part for the 98 Suburban the same for the 99s?For example, are the exhaust system the same. I have been looking for the down pipe and crossover and found a set for the 98 but not the 99.....Just wondering how similar the part are if at all.
Thanks

I have a 1999. I have found all the 6.5TD parts to the be the same. Some differences are at times confused it seems between the 1999 and 2000 because I think the body style was changed on the Suburban but not the pickup in 2000, or maybe vice versa. My 1999 was actually built mid to end of 1998. As far as exhaust and DP, a 1997 will fit on a 1999 Suburban.

I've run into parts issues even at GM, my 1999 burb has front drive axles listed as 2000 and up. No cat on mine and many 99 w/HD program.

I agree with you there. Seems there are many parts lists that list the same for a 1999 and 2000 but in fact it's not for our 1999's. I usually when in doubt buy the part for a 1998.
