can anyone with some track experience tell me what rpms i should hold the truck at? IT IS A 01 XTEND CAB lb7 all stock.Ill be taking off in 4wd. to get traction,and it is a 660' strip.any help is appreciated

Technically, you just stall it up as much as your traction will allow before breaking loose when staged up.

The best case is when you have GREAT traction and can floor it as soon as your opponent finishes lighting up his second staging light (after you've done yours).

A boost gauge is also helpfull during this, because to get things consistent you'll want so much boost at a launch.

No clue on a Duramax how much you'll need for a good run tho.

Lower the Tbars down all the way in front.

As for RPM, it's generally boost that we watch and as mentioned above, give it about all it will hold back.
