The past 2 times I changed my fuel filter, I've found very small orange particules in it.

It was rust. The fuel tank was rusting from the top down, sending unit, breather hose, all had heavy rust in it.

Anyone every see this ??

I'm in the DFW area, and the truck has always been here, it's a 2000 GMC dually, 108,000 miles.

Also, I just installed my second PMD, and I did have the FSD cooler on the one that just went bad.

Areas of high humidity can have this happen.
keep the tank/ tanks full and install a better fuel filter.

Not much else you can do to prevent this from happening.
The moisture is everywhere and the tanks have to breathe so they rust.

Mine started about a year ago when the fuel lines rusted thru, then in the fall the sending unit supply line was next to go, now its the supply line after the pump thats leaking. And did I mention the return lines? Oh yeah, the tank was replaced with the new sending unit. How about the brake lines? The rear lines have sprung so many leaks I cant count them all. But am I complaining? NAH!

My truck was used for plowing . The front shock stops had rusted through. There was a pile of sand atop the fuel tank ... so i replaced it , the rear brake lines, and the fuel lines running along the rail ... all at once , to get it over.

The new tank/lines got a few coats of preventive paint . Keeping the tank full (esp when weather humid , or when a cold front approaches) , minimizes the condensation. Parking overnight indoors , or beneath a tree will also slow the radiative cooling , and condensation.
