I have installed two sets of o rings on the back of my AC compressor and both have leaked. Neither parts house could find an application for them so we matched them up from some in their AC o ring box. The rings I removed have a square cross section. Both stores said that they start out as a round cross section and become square over time. Is it essential to use special o rings for this? Or is it likely I have another type of leak there like a cracked compressor housing. I am quite certain it is leaking at this connection.

Hmm, still living that little problemo.

I need to go out and check the truck and see if it's got the oil seepage around it again after these last trial rings.

Yeah, there needs to be a thicker o-ring than what they give you at the parts house that they say will "fit".

You could try Arizona Mobile Air (http://www.ackits.com/).

I tried Arizona Mobile Air. That was one of the sites that got me so frustrated I gave up.

J,
Do you have a part number/vendor for the rings you use?
