can anyone tell me if the 2007 Dmax cooling fan has a 5 inch pilot and 6 bolt holes.
I have a need for a better fan for the 6.5 and am puting together some goodies and run across a fan but I cant hold it in my hand and look at it.

Just got a pix and description from the guy????

I believe that the 2007 (classic) has only 4 bolts? I didn't pay attention last time I had one apart. :o

This guy might know. Or have the solution you seek.

As he put it in the auction..."This fan really sucks!"

That's the early Dmax blade. The comments about the "special" fan clutch is bogus. It will be a Borg Warner OE clutch. May come in a Hayden box, but it's a OE clutch.

As for the blades I've been down this road before. The 20" steel 6.5 blade and 21" Dmax blade are very close in performance. The key here is static pressures. The Dmax blade needs more "help" from ram air to outperform the steel unit MARGINALLY. The steel blade outperforms the plastic one marginally when the going gets tough. I list both although I'm inclined to discontinue the blades and take a neutral stance, letting people do whatever it is they think they want as I grow tired of arguing...
