I just changed oil to AMSOIL and thought I would check codes with my predator. I got a code P0380. It said the Glow Plugs were 0 volts and the intake heater was 0 volts. It is warm today and truck was moderately warm. Is this the Glow Plug controller? No SES light came on.

Was that possibly a P0380? P0308 is a cylinder misfire code. If it is a p0380 and providing that it is not a California truck then the problem is probably the glow plug relay itself. Be careful! The actual assembly is actually cheaper than the individual relays themselves. Test the G/P relay by watching the scan data while commanding the G/P relay on and off.

Thanks for pointing out the typo Duramster. Sorry for the mix up everyone.

I swapped out the glow plug controller today erased the code and it did not come back as of yet. I will check it tomorrow to make sure. They charged my $140 CND and list was $175 at the dealer. No other place had it here.

YIKES!!!That assembly only retails for $65 at my dealership and we stock them. I replaced one just today.

That's GM Canada for you. I wonder if other Canadians have noticed a huge price difference compared to US. What makes it even worse is how close the two dollars are now. Code did not return and all is well (except my wallet).

Even worse considering all that's in that assembly is to heavy duty relays!
Pretty sure there is no electronics in there.

Yeah but what is really bad RABBLER is that the individual relays are $92 each at my dealership (takes two of them, one for G/P and the other for the IAH) and the WHOLE assembly with the two relays is a WHOPPING $62!!! Go figure.................. ;)
