Time to start selling some things I really don't need currently.
Banks Turbo Kit for H1 Hummer 6.5L N/A.
This kit was designed for H1 Hummers in the year range of 1994-1995 with the 6.5L non-turbo engine.
I suspect that this kit will also work (with some adapting) H1 Hummers that were equipped with the 6.2L engine as well, and I see no reason why it wouldn't work just as well.
As an added incentive, I'd also consider this upgrade worthy of replacing the factory turbo system on 96+ H1 Hummers. I feel this turbo setup is superior to the GM6 rear mounted (heat soaking, cylinder cracking, block deck breaking) turbo on these engines. Use a regular 6.5L and possibly gain performance with a better turbo.
This is somewhat of a rare upgrade, I do NOT know what Banks sells this kit for either, or whether it's available at any price. But, being that it's for an H1, it ain't gonna be cheap from them.
So...
I gotta get some pictures uploaded in the next few days, but I'll describe what's included.
-Banks Manifold (same as the 6.2L manifold), but with adapter.
-Downpipe (connect your existing exhaust to).
-Liftpump oil drain plate, for EFI engines (MFI will need another plate).
-TE06H-24V Turbocharger (the MHI Turbo off the 7.3 is used in this setup).
-Intake air adapter, suspect it adapts to existing air filter.
-Upper Plenum with turbo to intake manifold adapter
-Oil Feed line that comes from BACK of engine like 6.2L kits do.
-Oil Drain complete from Turbo.
The Turbo appears to be in good usable condition, needs cleanup (as the rest of the components do).
So, make me an offer!
