Do these aftermarket items void the manufacturer's warranty?

I've been told by a dealership that they do. ANY modifications done to the computer unit will void the warranty. Has anyone had any problems with their LMM and warranty work, with one of these items installed? The one guy that told me that it does void the warranty stated that even if you remove these items prior to bringing it in for warranty work, they can tell if it was modified by reading the computer on the truck. Is this true?

I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row before buying my new truck, and adding modifications too it. :D

Yes! It is true for the LB7, LLY, LBZ and I'm sure the LMM when some JOKER figures out how to monkey around with it too.
