Aren't the piston relief's supposed to be on the bottom? (Pistons installed with relief's toward top, should be toward bottom of cylinder).

Bravo!!!

Well done! This is a certain machine shop in Ohio that I found on the 'net.

I gave a good head shaking when I found that one.

On another note, anyone near by might want to snag that block ;)

Please put your tools down and step AWAY from the engine!:D

Sure makes me glad I'm building mine myself.

Rich.

I wonder how many of those they sent out ??

No wonder some shops have poor luck with the 6.5.

I just shiver at the thought of a complete assembly going out the door like that.

But, I guess they thought that it was just like the 6.9 and 7.3 IDI engines, cause they're like this.

Good Day!

"But, I guess they thought..." "Thought" being the key word, eh?

Blessings!

Just wondering if anyone brought this to their attention? It would be interesting to hear their response to the correction.

Ok, even though I've had a little fun with this one, it's true that some responsibility should be taken to make sure that if it was assembled incorrectly, that at least someone wouldn't end up with it.

I talked the first fella that answered the phone. He knew of the engine, said that the picture was a "mock-up" image and that they did notice the boo-boo before it was sold as a product.

It's long-gone, but he did thank me for noticing the abnormality.

They'll update the site soon.

Is that a good price on a short block?
Would you guys trust these guys?

They aren't too far from me, and I may be in the market for an engine someday.
