I have this OEM (599 Block) 6.5L TD, (pulled from my motorhome) ready for overhaul, sitting in my garage, and I'm tired of looking at it.

Here's what you don't want to hear:

1. Cylinders 4-8 show light scoring

2. This is a "short" long block; you'll need (at a minimum)
a. intake manifold
b. exhaust manifolds
c. And bolts/studs to attach
d. And who knows what else

3. You gotta come pick it up in North Florida

What may make you feel better:

1. Kennedy dual-thermostat/high vol waterpump installed

2. Stock turbo with (about 15K miles) has been tested and OK

3. Heads checked and lightly surfaced

4. OEM (wrinkled) crossover pipe has about 15K miles

This is a semi-project engine. Although my mechanic disagreed and thought that this engine could be put back into service with new head gaskets (Gasket set included), since it burned no oil, only had coolant issues due to the blown head gasket, I elected to replace the engine (AMG/Peninsula) due to the work I subject my motorhome to.

So, if you have ambition and a way to transport this thing, $1,200 buys it. PayPal+3% OK, or MO, cashiers check, cash; no poultry or livestock.

I think the engine is a late '91, based on the block (599) - in any event, it's an early 6.5L TD, but on motorhomes, that info is a bit hard to nail down. The chassis (by Spartan - including drivetrain) was built somewhere around 2/92. Since my motorhome is the prototype for its configuration, it wasn't made into a Real Vehicle until around 5/93, which the manufacturer classified as a "'94" model.

Anyway, I'll try calling you sometime tomorrow...
