I'm installing a 97+ air filter box to my 95 and have some of the hardware including the box, rubber tube to the turbo and what appears to be part of the elbow connecting the rubber tube for the turbo to the air box.

Is the elbow from the rubber tube to the air box a two piece part? I'm going to check with a dealer but would like some clarification from owners. Thanks.

I'd guess I'd have to look under the hood to be positive, but I am pretty sure the plastic elbow is one piece. I don't ever remember taking off two pieces.

Thanks Dennis,

I started digging into it some more and it appears there are two options. Some trucks have a mass airflow sensor and others don't. I bought salvage yard filter and the missing piece appears to be the part holding the mass airflow sensor which I don't need. I'm not sure of the cutoff year, but seems at least the 97 didn't have MAF.
