It's still my daily driver but I've started to shop for a replacement and considering selling outright. It's black with a grey cloth interior, Z71 pkg, towing pkg. Owned it since 98 and it's had many of the improvements recommended here, and has been very well cared for. No shortcuts have been taken for reliability with cooling system, trans flushes, regular oil changes, etc all part of the preventive maintenance. It still fires off right away, still does 18.5-20 mpg, and runs great. Oil consumption basically the same since I have owned it - uses about 1 qt before I reach 3000 miles. I have all records since the day it was new (including previous owners records), including every drop of fuel put through it. Engine and transmission are still original, as is the paint. I'll be pulling more information together on the weekend, photos, etc, but wanted to see what interest there is. Feel free to leave a private message. Thanks.

Hi,

Where are you located in Illinois?

What are you thinking about as far as price?

Has any work been done on the tranny in all those miles?

Thanks.

I am in northern IL - Yorkville.

With respect to price, the various guides are all over the place on value - from $2k-$6k for the condition it is in & miles I have on it (258k). It has seen extremely good maintenance, everything has been documented including every drop of fuel. I started at $5k asking price but am considering all offers.

Transmission has only been apart for servicing the filter during flushes, heat kills automatics thus the reason for the cooler. Pan temps have not exceeded 180F on hottest days. It continues to work very well.

Here are some highlights:
SN 1GKEK18S0SJ737485 - feel free to do a check
Gets PurOne oil filters with premium engine oil (Rotella / Delvac)
Transfer case gets regular oil changes
Automatic Transmission gets regular flushing / new filter
Automatic transmission pan includes factory drain plug and added temp sensor in pan
Racor pre-lift pump filter installed with 30 micron element
Jardine down pipe replaced OEM bent pipe
PMD mounted on Beta PMD cooler & relocated in front of drivers side battery with Kennedy extension harness
New factory muffler / tailpipe Aug 06
BD RV & Race chips along with OEM chip included
Still has original paint and shines well.
Triple A pillar with VDO Exhaust, Trans temp, Boost Vision Series gauges - backlit and matches oem dash gauges.
Engine and transmission work flawlessly.
Duralast Gold alternator keeps voltage stable - holds voltage up at idle with load.
New Powermaster starter June 07 – extreme improvement over stock
Replaced timing chain with DSG gears 160k
97+ Air Filter (round type)
97+ Dual thermostats & HO Waterpump
Duramax fan
29000 btu HD plate type transmission cooler always keeps trans sump under 180F
Lower Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc all replaced at 143k, greased frequently
New GM Hydroboost (Sept 07)
Interior is in very excellent shape (no rips, tears, or stains)
New OEM blower motor (Delco) June 07
Have records of every drop of fuel burned since new and all maintenance performed
Structurally sound - no accidents
Factory service manuals go with it.
Transfer case rebuilt at ~160k
New AC60G glow plugs/ Delco relay Dec 06
New Powerslot front brake rotors with Hawk Superduty pads, Aug 07
Mileage has been very good, usually 18-19 mpg on the highway between 55-62 mph – highest ever was 21.5 mpg. Just got 19+mpg on last 3 tanks.
