Anybody heard about EngineQuest replacement crankshafts for the 6.5 TD?
The part number is CS381 and I´m suspicious as they are listed or $299, sounds too good to be true. Right.
If anybody has experience with this brand of Crankshaft please step in,

Thanks

Juan

No personal experience, but I do know they are Chinese in origin. If you don't want to pony up for an AMG crank I would suggest getting one from SCAT. Another member on here is using one and it looks to be a decent piece...

Where can I get a Scat crankshaft for the 6.5 diesel?

Thanks for the heads up, I hate chinese stuff.

Unfortunately the only non-Chinese crank is an AMG piece. The SCAT crank is cast in China, and then the raw castings are machined in the US. At least with them there is some kind of accountability. To get one, I would suggest contacting SCAT directly: http://www.scatcrankshafts.com/

EDIT: Like the Chinese cranks, this is a one-piece seal crank. I assume you have a one-piece seal block. For folks who don't and are wondering where to get a two-piece seal crank, the answer is nobody makes one. However, it is possible to machine the one-piece crank to fit a 2-piece block. I know, because that's what I did ;)
