Is there any way to eliminate the carbon like gunk that is starting to show up in my newly rebuilt 6.5td intake tube right below the hole from the crankcase vent can tube? The old had it real bad but this one is just starting after about 5000 miles. It can't be good for the top end...
Thanks,

Are you talking inside the air cleaner entrance to the turbo?

All these engines make blow-by, they do make a certain amount even on a healthy engine.

This is related to the fact that they have an incredibly high c/r in stock trim, not that it's a bad thing, but that the higher the compression, the higher amount of acceptable blow-by the rings will occur.

In all reality, that small amount won't gunk up the intake, or runners much, or anything they can't handle.

I was wondering if I could reroute the hose from the breather to the outside somehow or put a small foam filter to catch the big chunks. All this started when I changed to synthetic oil. It seems to leak more and use more oil too. Back to Rotella I guess.
Thanks,
