I have a 1995 C3500 crewcab with 6.5 td . I was thinking of adding an after cooler but lake of room is a problem. Is their any reason one can not be mounted on my headach rack above the cab.

Turbo lag. Also once you boost that much volume of air and then let off throttle it might whistle like a tea kettle and not in a good way.

Several members of the "Place" have mounted underneath behind the bumper. One member even had one mounted on top with a hood scoop feeding it. Doing a search on the topic should bring in some innovative ideas of what others have accomplished due to limited space.

Several members (and staff) at the "page" have mounted underneath behind the bumper. Numerous articles, reviews and threads have been written on this, amazingly all before the "place" was even a glimmer in someone's eye.

One place to start is HERE (http://www.thedieselpage.com/members/features/DIY-CAC.htm). If that doesn't help, try a SEARCH (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/search.php) for the dozens of other pieces of valuable info on the subject.
