Larger Exhaust Pipes Advise

If you have an 07 or 08 D/A is it desirable to install a larger exhaust system? Does it improve mileage, engine performance or exhaust brakes?:confused:

Magna-Flow and other exhaust system manufacturers are offering DPF-back systems for the LMM Duramax. Can't mess with the particulate filter and cat.

On a related subject, I have heard of plugged DPFs (with soot) when attempting to use a performance tuner on the LMM. This is about a $1000 out of warranty repair - to replace the filter. Don't install a tuner, module or other performance program on your LMM unless the manufacturer/vendor warranties the DPF/Cat.

Some people over at another forum claim to have straight-piped their LMM's and used EFILive to solve the related DTC's...

This other um, Place, sees a lot of doody getting thrown around the board. Some useful info there, but know when to don the hip-waiters.
