I need an under hood switched hot source to power my fuel heater in my Racor filter. Any ideas?

James,

At the rear of the fuse/relay center are two terminal for accessories.

IRRC one is always hot and one is only hot when the key is on.

They each have a fuse protecting them.

Thats where my Racor's heater is connected. ;)

IRRC one is always hot and one is only hot when the key is on. They are both hot all the time on our 95 Sub. But they are a very good place to get power. I used one for the headlights (with relays) and the other with a relay (triggered by a wire that went to the DS4) to power my DB2 FI pump. I found ignition switched power to be in short supply under the hood - and not much better under the dash! You could probably run a wire from the fusebox to trigger a relay and use the underhood terminals for the high current to the Racor filter. You can get a relay and brackets from Daniel Stern Lighting (http://lighting.mbz.org/home.html)
