Just had a controller installed on my truck. It did not come with the factory installed unit. There are two red wire leads hidden in the engine compartment that must be hooked up to make it work. One is tucked between the fuse box and left front fender. The other is between the fuse box and the engine (quite a bit way down). These wires must be connected to the two metric-threaded studs that are located foward of the fuse box. The studs are hot and send the juice to the wires that run to the controller. The wires to the controller are tucked under the dash in the fuse box. Thought this info might be helpful on a do it yourself install.
