I am in the process of installing a 4" inch Turbo back, Jerry Jardine, Pinnacle Power Exhaust System on my 1996 Chevy Suburban LT, 2500, 4x4.

In order to finish the system off nicely, I will install a stainless steel tip.

The questions I have are:

- What is better, a STRAIGHT or TURN DOWN tip?
- Does the TURN DOWN restrict proper "flow" compared to a STRAIGHT tip?
- Is this strictly for looks and really does not make any difference?

Any input regarding this would be appreciated, thanks very much in advance.

It's mainly an aesthetic thing. There is no performance difference. The only functional effect would be that a turn-down *may* keep your trailer cleaner. My system exits on an angle behind the rear wheel and I used a 4" to 5" slash cut tip. I never noticed any soot on my boat.
