Dtc 26

Today was getting back to my job site and truck set code. When I was going back home, toing 18 ft. car trailer, pyro seemed warmer than normal ( 700 -800 F post turbo )
I check to find code 26, Accelorator Pedal Position Circuit Low. Did the search thing here, but couldn't find any thing on this. Anyone out there help me with what is wrong or the Fix ? Thanks to all. This site has helped me a lot in the past.

The APP module is surprisingly reliable. There are three separate elements contained within the module, and each provide a different voltage level or scaling. A couple of the elements output a low to high (voltage), as the pedal is pressed, and one of the elements outputs a high to low.

I suggest resetting the DTC, then see if it repeats. If it does, a Tech I or Tech II scan tool can be used to read the three elements as the pedal is depressed. That should help to identify a problem.

If you wind up needing a replacement, and if bucks are scarce, I'd give a used pedal a try (because they are so reliable). New ones are pretty spendy. :)
