Turbo Question

Whats the big deal between gm4 and gm8 turbos unless your going to lower your compression and all that. will a gm4 perform well with the upgrades.

If you have a perfectly good GM-4, upgrading to a GM-8 won't justify the expense. It's a little more efficient. On the other hand, if you need to replace the turbo you have now, getting a GM-8 as a replacement might be a good idea - though you'd need to then install a mechanical wastegate actuator for the GM-8 (another IIRC ~$100, or make your own). If you're running a mechanical wastegate actuator on your GM-4, it won't fit the GM-8. :(
