Hey all, its been a while!

I am wondering if anyone has put larger tires on a 2007/2008 HD yet? I'm looking to put 285's on my new 08 2500HD but I'm not sure they will fit, even with the torsions adjusted. The bumper looks like its just going to be too close. Any infor would be greatly appreciated!

I'd bet 265's would fit... :)

I have 265/75R/16 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor Load Range "E" Pro Grade on my Truck, I just had them installed and make a big difference from the stock 245 series tires, I read where you could put a bigger tire but will have to mess with the torsion bars and will have rubbing/clearance problems too. I got my Tires from Tire Rack for $154.00 each. www.tirerack.com :D

My 2007.5 came with 265/75/R16. Maybe the dealer changed them out before I got them but I think that the speedometer is right on with this tire.

Just put 285/75 on my 2007 gmc classic body and they are close but do not rub. Looks like the right size tire for the truck also adjusted the tire size with the hypertec programer. Went an point higher than the tire rotation and the speed is dead on based on my GPS.

I ordered some wheels and tires today. I ended up getting 275/70-18. I went with the 18 because I couldn't get what I wanted in 17. The tire guy said I could put 285's on with only cranking the torsion bars a little with 17's The 275/70 are 33.2 inches, taller than the 285/70. So the whell size makes a difference, and the off set is critical. You need to make sure the rim has the right off set for you truck. I don't remember what that was right now. I have a 2007.5 lmm,CC, short bed, 4 wheel drive. (The 285/70=17 are 32.7)
