Somewhere I read about the ITBC not being compatible with triple axle brake setups...............
That it was only compatible for tandem axles.

Can anybody clarify that for me?

Can anybody tell me wether or not they are towing a triple axle trailer and using the integrated brake controller? There has to be somebody out there........

I'm not sure if this will help you, but I tow a tandem with my 05, and have towed a friends tri-axle a few times with out any issues. I'm using the "Prodigy" controller using the integeral plug.
Years ago the old style brake controllers had a resistor that could be adjusted for the amount of axles used.
I hope this helps you.

The Prodigy brake controller will operate three axel brake systems. It will also work thru the truck at the costom harness plug. Check to see if your truck still has that feature in the fuse panel under the dash forward of the emergency brake pedal. If is still there all you will need is the harness for your make and year truck and you will be set.

My worries were unfounded.........................
picked up my new trailer on Saturday and the ITBC worked like a charm, just like it was designed to do. There has been many people posting about having to shut the truck off before connecting the wire harness up. I have had no issues.............
Thanks for everything. I will have to throw my prodigy back in the box and keep it around in case I'm not happy with the ITBC. Although I think the ITBC works better than the prodigy, is that possible?
