Hope someone out there in diesel land can steer me to finding stateside some Champion 50A glow plugs.
Have found some superceding part numbers that are supposed to be equal such as Authlight 1108, CHA 84/104 or CS 1092.
However these do have have threaded tops to accept ring wire connectors but have smooth tops for push on wire connecters.
I have found the plug in the UK but very costly with the $ exchange. A US parts house wants $77 ea which I think is very excessive.
These glow plugs are for a BMC 2.52L diesel engine in a '79 Carbodies (Austin) vintage london taxi.
I have one glow plug that is not getting continuity of current from threaded top to glow plug end because of a loose top. Have tried to superglue in place but to no avail. Can this glow plug be repaired? If so, how??
Thanks for any help.
