Was over at the 6.2 forum and seen where DR. Lee stated that the lower rad. port was the IN from trany and top port was out.
Our trucks with factoy oil cooler,from trany where does it go first.
Cooler,Rad.
Rad,cooler?
Edit;
I may have my NAPA inline filter installed with the flow arrow pointed wrong. Not sure,just that I thought the top port of the Rad. was the IN and it flow down. So I'm wrong :rolleyes:

After reading what Dr.Lee stated about the line route I see I had my inline trans filter pointed the wrong way.
Did not know the fluid went to front cooler than to Rad. then back to trans.
This should be correct right?

Bnave - When I flushed and re-filled my tranny, I pulled the top line to the rad, and pumped the fluid out into a bucket - replacing with AmsOil. In my case - I'd say the tranny goes to the Rad - upper port first, then to the cooler.

While reading in the 6.2 forum,topic;
700R4 can survive without locking torque convertor.
Dr Lee stated that the lower port on Rad. was the inlet. Stated out of a manual.
Don't think there would be any difference between the 6.5 and 6.2 :confused:

On my '95 with 4L80E the top line was fluid from the trans into the radiator. On my friend's '95 5.7 with 700 or 4L60 or whatever, much to my embarasment, the top line was fluid out of the radiator back to the trans....

Thanks John
This means my filter is flowing right.
This also means then the flow goes to the Rad. first,to the front cooler and back to trany.YES
Did most of the 6.2 have the 700?
With the 6.5 GM must of changed the routing with the 4l80E.
