Fuel filter Leak

I am fighting a fuel leak on a 96 6.5. Replaced the fuel filter housing about 6 months ago and am still having a fuel leak from time to time. It seems as if the fuel pump is putting too much pressure on the fuel filter, blows the oring and leaks all over the place. I can replace the oring and it runs ok for a while but comes back eventually. Any ideas? I have not put a fuel pressure gauge on it yet, but plan to this week. What should the pressure be to the filter?

about 5 is normal, 7 wont kill you. If your seeing more than that you have an issue and replacing the lift pump on the frame is in order to prevent damage to the IP.

Put a gauge on the drain line and see what you get for pressure.
