Some how I Got my ac bracket and whatever pump below that messed up-

Heck I put a couple of hundred miles on it till I noticed the squeeking noise-

The AC Bracket looks OK, it's actually the pump thing below it that looks kicked out towards the centerline of the motor?

It almost makes me think the bracket at the two bolts going into the water pump on that side should be up against the pump directly & not infront of the nuts on the water pump bolts obiously mixed up

Any Pics ?

Thanks

That would be the vaccum pump

Nope, this is right and is the same on my truck.
Could be the vaccum pump going bad, bearings.
This happened to me once though the pump still worked. Be carefull, the pump may be close to locking up
Could also be just the belt.Doutfull?
Try running Eng. for a short time with belt off,no squeeking.
Try a new belt, squeeking yes or no?
If yes than change pump.
Also check the belt tensener(SP)for bearing can also go bad.

Took a look and I'd say it's not. How or what do you see. Looking across the belt.Say from driver side to Pass. side. Should not be any washer between the plate and nut/stud that is part of the water pump bolt. Bracket can only be mounted one way.
Any chance that the plate got bent?

I guess I'll try to go out & take a pic or two

The AC/Vacuum plate does go outboard of the waterpump "nut-studs"

Thanks

Did a total extraction down to removal of the vacuum pump-

The night I thrashed her back together it was get it done tonight or don't go on vacation-

I left 2 bolts out of the back of the vacuum pump - redface.gif

thus alowing it over time to bend the bracket forward out of align. ( a couple of hundred miles)

So back into service she should be soon & gettin her ready to sell :( ( will replace her with a 6.2 something or other)

Thanks to all
