How noisie is normal

Just wondering since i haven't heard a normal 6.5 what's it compare too. basically quite or more like a 6.9

My 6.5L TD (AMG aftermarket) is about the same for rattling (buit slightly quieter) as my Ford 6.9L, cold or hot. The OEM 6.5L TD was about the same. The AMG has a Phazer gear drive for the camshaft, so it's a a bit different noise, and the AMG is in a diesel pusher motorhome.

My suggestion is don't be too concerned with the comparison.
