brake ?

my buddy has a 88 6.2 2500 and i have a 89 2500 6.2, so my ? is why are the lines coming off the master cylinder a lot bigger than his, mine look to be about 1/2'' or so, while his look like a 1/4'' or so. also the guy i bought it from said it had the bigger brakes and said something about a 8 or 10 for them, what does this mean, or is he full of it.:confused:

Don't feel too bad. Once I had one hard time trying to find a short between the seat and the stearing wheel! :eek: :D :D
