i've got an 82 n/a 6.2 with a big dual exhuast .
from the way it looks i'll be spending some $$$ on it sometime in the next year.
as far as i can see it has no "h" crossover pipe, what are the benefits of this pipe?? size and placement ??

The H pipe helps to balance out the exhaust system, may help the engine as well, I may try one as soon on my 91 6.2 burb, as it's system is about shot. That is, if Diesel prices ever drop.

i dont think you'd notice enough of a difference to recoup the costs.
but, it may change the exhaust note slightly.

No "H" pipe was ever installed on naturally aspirated diesels from the factory. It's an aftermarket idea.
Turbo diesels have a crossover pipe, but it's for a different reason. On GM's, the turbo is located on the passenger side exhaust manifold, so you need a crossover pipe to connect the exhaust manifold on the driver side to the passenger side, so that all exhaust is forced through the turbo.
