Banks D-max 7.96@167mph!!!!

No that's not a misprint. The Banks Type-D Duramax powered drag truck just broke into the 7's with a 7.96@167mph!! The first pick-up EVER to run the 1/4 mile in the 7 second range! I'll post up some video and the time slips as soon as I get them! :D

Congratulations to the Banks team!! The suspension guys must really have it dialed in as well. What's the engine turning for max rpm and what's the truck running for a transmission?

You know what also rocks about this setup?

NO SMOKE!

It's pretty embarrassing to watch the majority of the Cummins and highly modded V8 diesels (Max, P-Joke) run down the track with nothing but a HUGE plume of smoke following them, many times you can't see the truck at the end of the 1/4 mile!

i thought it was gonna be a full size, thats a S10, thats just a baby and a lot lighter than a K or C series truck

I just read in Diesel Power magazine where the Type-D is producing 1000-hp and is running a single "stock" CP3.... ;)
