Rear end swap ??

Hello,
Will a mid 90's 3/4t rear end fit in my rig w/o any major issues? My 84 sub's rear end makes a clunking sound once it's warm every time I pull away from a light. Shop said it's about to go. It has 4:10 gears for towing. I would like to be able to keep the brake set up since it is all new from the backing plates out. Is there anything I should look for, best swap for my Sub by year or ???
