Does Synthetic oil need a special oil filter??

I've been reading the threads here and on other sites about synthetic oils - and now have a question about whether the Baldwin oil filter I use is appropriate for the Shell 'Synthetic' Rotella 5 -40 oil? Can anybody comment.

There's so much information on the web that it can be downright scary. Reminds me of the time I looked up a medical condition on the web and got so worried, it took my doctor half an hour to assure me I was going to be just fine....

Use any quality filter. There's no filter specific to synthetic oil. There are, however, "synthetic" oil filters. That only means the filter media is synthetic.
