I have a 84 burban k-10 with the 6.2L. Every time the brake shoes are changed the master cylinder has to be changed with it. The brake light stays on until master is changed and bleed with 8500 lb master. What causes this? The power steering pump has been changed already. Would the brake booster cause it? help.

how often are you changing the shoes? you should get a lot of wear out of a set. have the wheel cylinders been changed? has the proportion valve been changed? what happens that you "need" to change out the master cylinder?

when you changed the power steering pump, did you replace it with a pump meant for the hydroboost system?
