blow off valve

i have seen duramax owners install a bd turbogaurd blow off valve on their engines and it sounds awesome, and all the lil turbocharged imports do it, can you put a BOV on a 6.5td for more pleasure to the ears?

If you don't have a throttle plate, it won't do anything. Some of the newer D-max's have a throttle plate of sorts.

I am not sure the avg 6.5 makes enough boost psi to really need or exploit a BOV. Personally I rather hear the spool down whistle.

Ricers are small displacement and small turbos. Duramax has lots of boost and bigger turbo.

Ricers have it to protect throttle plate. Big diesels do it retard turbo bark.

It also won't do you any good if you have an auto trans, only if you have a stick
