cadillac escalade transfercase

I know it doesn't belong here, I am trying to help out a friend

I trying to find out what transfer case is in a 2003 escalade, with push button shifting and full time 4wd

any help would be great...thanks

It should be a NP-246. Same as used in 1500 and 2500 (non HD) GM trucks. The fluid used should be blue, Auto-Trac II fluid.

The model, serial number and mfg date can be found on a silver dollar size tag at the rear of the TC.
