I "rented" scanner from parts store to help diagnose. Once I fix this problem will I need to clear the code with scanner or battery disconnect to get out of limp mode or will it clear the SES light when I fix the fuel problem?

Before '99 GMC K3500 4WD died in yard I was smelling diesel fuel under the hood for a week or so. Was hoping for warmer weather before tracking down a leak. The lift pump is loud and it seems like the flow is not as good as it used to be. I suspect I got watery fuel on a warm day after truck had thawed out for an oil change in the shop and parking nose uphill has frozen the pickup sock, and this was the straw that broke its back.
Changed the filter and looks like it always does after a year.

So far have replaced batteries and starter to get it running again, but hard start, SES light and P0251 and P0370 codes. Ran fine when I parked it.

Anybody have advise on most likely place for fuel leak under the hood?

Opinions on whether this is air in fuel system or bad IP/optical sensor?

Truck has 172K miles. Goodwrench engine replaced under warranty at 87K because of a cracked block. Not sure if this new engine had a new IP or not.
