Has anyone tried the oil cool lines made by dorman? I was just wondering if they are any better than the gm ones. Maybe they both come from the same place not sure.

No, I haven't. But, are they still rubber lines with crimped on ends?

Unless they are of better quality than the OEM - and very inexpensive - why not just use the SS braided set from Lube Specialist (includes a new, stock size oil cooler) or John Kennedy (includes a new, larger cooler)? These should last the life of the truck.

I looked at a dorman set, didn't buy them as they said "Made in China". They were cheaper than the GM ones.

Dorman used to supply good products. Some of their wares have surfaced lately, and the question of quality had been asked. My first response (regarding a pulley and harmonic balancer) was their products had served me well in the past, and I had no negative experience with them. However, my experience with them is years old (still using the "old" products with current success). The recent finding is most, if not all, of their products are currently manufactured offshore. I don't like this, and will no longer have a comment on their standard for quality. Reason being, I try to not support that country of origin (among others) as much as possible, for reasons of quality, economics, and personal integrity.

That said, I don't have any info to confirm or deny the usability or quality of Dorman products. Nor do I care to. My funds are better served in a more domestic capacity. I have yet to discover any of the "offshore" products superior to domestic products, and until I do, my stand on this will remain the same.

Dmax - That's why i didn't buy them and had bad experiences with Chinese parts from the local parts places, Advance, Autozone..etc. Inferior quality in general.
