Stopped in at the local Wal Mart here in Rockport, TX, today. We're in a nearby RV park. Was talking to a clerk about how we shop at WM a lot, and park overnight when we're traveling cross-country. She said that their store welcomes overnighters, etc. Then she told us that a while back, a trailer pulled up next to their building, un-plugged a soda machine and hooked up to their AC overnight! Is it any wonder that RVers get a bad rap, sometimes? In Florida, it's getting hard to find a WM that will let you park overnight. There are slobs in every segment of the population, I guess. You'd think that people could police themselves better.
Just my two cents.
Take care.

It's not just the folks from the shallow end of the gene pool you mentioned, but their ancestors, who've been known to set up camp in Wal-Mart parking lots. I, for one, prefer RV parks, but occasionally on my Christmas trips to MO to visit my sister, find there are few RV parks along I-24/I-57/I-64/I-70 open in winter.

No doubt this Boeotian minority will eventually cause Wally-World to ban RV stops for more than a few hours.

I'm from Florida, so I'm too near home to try any Wal-Marts, although the one in Starke, FL still accomodates RVs.

No matter the profession, doctors, accountants, CEO's, lawyers, chemists, mechanics, towers, business owners, etc. there is a certain percentage that are awful in some respect. See it everyday in business. Only one group I see more consistently hard to get along with than others, maybe because of the auto industry? maybe because of the local Ferd plant atmosphere? just tough to work for on average. bob............
