Great forum, I would not still be driving one of these w/o this site. Is there better oil cooler lines than GM or Dorman? I'm on my 3rd set and I hate leaks. Which remote PMD/FSD is the best buy and the most reliable? I have my timing set @ -1.90, Max-E Torq chip, calls for -1.94, will the computer compensate for the difference?
Thanks in advance,
Roper

When you have some time, try a search for these questions - there is actually quite a lot already on this forum about these topics. But, the quick answers:
1) Kennedy Diesel (larger cooler than stock) or Lubrication Specialists. Both use braided SS lines.
2) Heath uses a stock driver, but has a 7 year warranty on his set-up. You're paying for it, but 7 YEARS!
3) That's awful darn close enough - don't worry about it. You'll never ever notice the difference.

I bought Lube specialist kit. Nice setup and half the price of others. The only thing is have lots of wire loom handy. They will rub everywhere as they are flexible briaded and not bent like factory. You also get a new oil cooler with it. Just don't put the oil cooler in backwards like I did. It can bolt either way but if you don't have it the right way the grill won't fit.

Ummm, yea. Doing that might make a certain person go to the extent of fabricating a special mounting bracket and trimming the lower grill valance to try and make it fit. Only then did this person figure out that the only problem was that he tried to install the cooler backwards.... I'm not sure who that person was...but don't ask!

Sounds like a sunny afternoon back in 1971 when, at the age of 8, I watched my 16 year old brother hack the snot out of the 6x9 speaker grill oval holes in the rear package tray of his hugger orange 1970.5 Camaro...with a small sawzall!

Seems he couldn't understand why the speakers wouldn't drop into the holes and sit flush with the package tray...from the top...:D
