Could it be true USA built Diesels that give us 100 mpg in a subcompact car?

With fuel as high as it is right now I'd be real :D with 30-35MPG
But if it were to drop back to under $2.00 a gallon I'd be satisfied with my current MPG. But if it was less than $2.00 a gallon and I got 30-35 MPG I'd be :D:D With a 100MPG I'd be :D:D:D:D:D

My 2000 VW Jetta TDI diesel just got 47.6 MPG going to Orlando and back.

Once out of Ohio the cruise was 80 - 85 most of the way. 2197 miles on right at 45 gallons.

Gotta love the car!:D!

2006.5 Jetta TDI, Wifes car, gets 47 on the highway. Also to Disney and back... 30-33 in the City. It is new so haven't done any MPG mods yet either.

THinking of taking it on vacation this year instead of the truck...
