Looking over the outfit in preperation of the cooling upgrade.

the AC Compressor is on the Driver's side, and the current single stat 'crossover' runs under the compressor and over the mounting bracket. Looks like I have to 'lift' the compressor off it's mount, with a lot of fixed plumbing attached to it, and hang it somewhere.

Does the 97 'crossover' fit in there? and How much 'tweaking' will I be looking at to get the driver's side to mate to the head? This t'ain't gonna be a easy bolt-in I bet.

( No, the '97 upgrade hasn't arrived yet, so I don't have the thermostat housing to compare to)

Appreciate any input.

The '97 cooling upgrades were made to work with the 1996 and newer accessories and brackets. You shouldn't have any problem or need to modify anything when installing the 1997 kit components in a 1996 model year truck.

Some late '96 6.5's had the hi-cap water pump and dual t-stats. Seems there was a period of time when the hi-cap water pump and dual t-stats were installed on engines having the smaller 1/2" engine oil cooling lines.

Thanks JK - so if I can move the A/C up enough, this might just 'slide' in under there...

The 96 should be a no grind no fuss install...
