I've got an '01 Dmax in a Silverado, ext cab, K2500HD with 124K miles. I've replaced the rear pads/disks once already and noted that I've got a fair amount of wear on the rears again. Yet, my original front disks appear to have very little ridge on them and the pads appear to be worn very little.

Is this a common thing, considering the anti-lock braking in the front? The truck stops without any apparent problem, so I'm wondering if this is normal or if I've got a proportioning issue.

Anyone else seeing the same? Appreciate your thoughts.

We rarely perform brake repairs on the new style trucks. The brake linings are just that good! We see more park brake issues than anything else as far as the brakes go.

I've noticed the same with the parking brake- seems to fade over time. I just can't see why I've got the wear in the back and not in the front. The last set of rotors/pads I purchased were from a reputable company locally and they are wearing just like the OEM parts did.
