Bought a used Edge Evolution on Ebay a few months back from a guy who removed it before trading trucks. No issues, was 'satisfied' with his purchase and performance of unit. Version is EEC1000 BETA ver 2.0 ser# 000001023 Date of Manufacture 10/23/2006

Went to install on my 2006 - said it needed an upgrade based on my VIN. Went to website, attempted upgrade, had error upon error with the internet software updates. Spent an hour or so on the phone with Edge tech support ("try CLT/ALT/DEL again...what version of Windows are you running, etc.) to no avail. Finally got what appeared to be a 'good' download, went to install, now the unit won't talk to my truck at all.

Its like the firmware is whacked at a lower level, probably needs an Edge firmware update or somebody that knows more about these than me - I don't have any more time or interest to invest in this project.
I paid $350. Make me an offer - my Kennedy ECM should be here next week :)
