All,
I'm upgrading exhaust and moving to a Turbo-Master mechanically controlled waste-gate as my vacuum system is 'wasted'. Has anyone installed a Turbo-Master, set the Boost at say 9PSI and stayed with the stock ECU? The tuning shops all want to sell a chip upgrade with the Turbo-Master but is it necessary if I don't have to burn rubber? As per my sig I need to do two of everything at once so I'm trying to save a little $$ and add the chip ugrades later if this is possible.
Thanks

I have stock programing and TM. Its fine as long as you set max boost under 9-10 psi sustained. A little peak to 11-12 probably won't set a SES light but sustained will.

Set max boost according to instructions ie with apprecialbe load high gear 2400 rpm max or near throttle to keep from downshifting if auto.
