I have a 1995 K3500 F vin 6.5L. What I have found so far is that my truck is supposed to have either the 10225929 or 10225930. On the metal plaque on the back of my injector pump which is where I think you are supposed to get that info mine has one with a serial ID of 12218067 and a manufacturer ID of 17800076. I have heard that when you put a NEW injector pump on rather than a rebuilt one that you may get different part number that has incorporated changes into it. Anyone that can help me figure out what IP I am supposed to have or a way to find out what one my truck did have I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time and take care,

Joe

Kept on digging and found out that IP # 10225929 was superceeded by part # 17800076. Also found out that my PROM chip # 1621-5261 was mated to my VIN and IP #. Don't get it, replaced the temp sensor and the computer, circuits ohmed good and actually watched operating voltage rise gradually and right in range for the actual temperature right at the back of the computer. Scan tool said the truck thought it was either minus 13*F at start up or 130*F after running about 2 minutes. CANNOT get the temp indicating circuit to work. Always get code 15 if I recall. I Already bought the electrical wiring parts to replace the right cylinder bank ground points even though the truck had continuity from the body to the engine and to the battery, all three at several points. If at all possible if someone could put a couple pictures the relay panel by the Air Conditioning condensor on the firewall and the guts underneath, particularly the area behind where it sais ground. Also if someone has a picture of the right rear cylinder head and how many grounds there are there factory. Take care and I greatly appreciate any help. Help or pics or not I will keep posting in these thread as a journal of a new owners electrical trials.

Take care all,

Joe

Well I finally stopped messing around and put the truck into its normal configuration and started over from scratch. The temperature sensing circuit is fine. When everything is hooked up, she starts hard with a quick RPM jump. It won't keep running unless you give it a little throttle. When you get it running it smokes badly unburnt diesel. NO CODES are ever flagged. I wanted to bounce my Injector pump number off of the forum to see if it sounds right. My IP has 17800076 in the model number field, blue tag. ECM chip is BNTF. In the RPM field of the tag on top is says 831-5068. I know the pump was changed before I bought the truck. Maybe the the previous mechanic thought he was putting a 5068 IP in when its really a 17800076? Please, if you can, let me know if any of these numbers seem bad, I am fixing to get a remanned pump from SSdiesel just so I know its the right one. Take care all and thank you for all the help in the past

The pump numbers are preceded with 831-, like yours says 831-5068 or 831-4911 (mechanincal IP). Those longer numbers you have are either the serial number or the rpm numbers. At diesel towing resource dot com, they have a nice sticky there with just about all the pump numbers. You might have a look there and see what's listed for your truck. Not all pumps are 831 prefix, some are 829..etc. Good luck.

I greatly appreciate that lead, that site is a great resource. There is also a forum on SSdiesel site.
