Does anyone know how that I can retrieve this information?

You can set the TDC offset yourself and read it with a couple of laptop code readers. Do you have access to the factory service manuals? They describe how to set TDC offset.

Note that the pump turning tool is no longer available, and these two wrenches from snap on will cost $100. You may be able to use other wrenches, make your own, or get them cheaper somewhere else.

Yep. I know where they are.

They are TDP forum topics, currently available on this forum. Problem is, they are archived (or just really old), from a time before our current bulletin board software (2005 or before), so unless you know what to search for, it'll be luck if you find them.

It is a tedious chore, but I can find them a lot quicker than you. If you think you need these, I'll dig them up and bring them to the front. If you are just looking for reading material to kill time, I wouldn't waste the time. Your choice. If you think there's a remote chance the topics will help you with an issue, I'll be happy to hunt them up.

I really hate to trouble you on this but I do think that I can use that info.

However, if you can give me some pointers/keywords on how to search for the info, I would gladly relieve you of that job.

I don't know if you read my recent post about whether I need to change the physical rotation of the injection pump after changing a very loose timing chain to a new, tight one but, that is something that I would like to know.

In a few minutes, I am going to bolt on the thermostat housing therefore making it very much more difficult to change the pump's position.

No problem then. I'll get it pulled up before this evening, or earlier if I have the time. By the time I find what you need to locate the threads, it's only a minute from there. That's the hard part. They'll have to be unlocked and bumped up, anyway.

I also replied to your other thread. Get used to adjusting these pumps "on the fly", so to speak. Before long, you'll be able to do it in your sleep. It's nice to be able to do it with all the stuff out of the way, but most of the time it just doesn't happen. besides, it's only guesswork until it's up and running with a Tech II (or trained ear) attached.

Please let me know if you think is okay to leave it where I mentioned as it is very easy to change it now.

You saved me a bunch of work as I wanted to check with you before going back with the thermo housing, etc.

Doggone, you said to 'get 'em while they are hot' but, I didn't know the posts were that hot. I didn't have a chance to get them. I got the gist, however.
