Have located a 5831 D gearbox. Do you know what ratios this unit has? What vehicle it was used in? The name plate also has "BM 3000190-3" and S/N "792288". Any help would be appreciated!

What was the oem mfg date code - mine's 1957.....

No manuf date was found. Howerer, found out that the "D" 5831 has an overdrive ratio of .85; So will be holding out for a .73 unit.

Have found they run all over the map.....from $300 to $1400 for a "refurbished" unit.
