What would be required to swap a 6.5 into a 5.7 truck, aside from an engine hoist?

I am confused.
Are wanting to replace a 5.7L (350) gasoline engine with with a 6.5L Diesel,
...or are you wanting to replace a 5.7L Diesel engine with with a 6.5L Diesel?

We need to know if the 5.7 is a gas or diesel before we can continue.

If you have a 5.7 gasser the 6.5 will bolt right in physically.
The exhaust will have to be changed to fit the diesel.
The tranny will need some updates to work well with the diesel too depending on the particular trans thats there.

If the truck originally had a 5.7 diesel there are other issues.

We need to know more info please

Year
Model
trans type
4x4 or 4x2

There is also the cooling system too, the diesel requires a much larger radiator than the gasser.
2 batteries are needed for the diesel plus all the cables.
The fuel tank setup will have to be modified too.

Let us know some particulars and we can move ahead.

Best
