House Appropriations Subcommittee Increases DERA (http://www.dieselforum.org/lists/lt.php?id=eUUEVVVXVwgEGAABRQZUXQQA) Funding for FY09
The House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee recently approved a funding level of $65 million for the Diesel Emissions Reduction Program in FY09, a $15.5 million increase over the level approved for FY08. This program is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency and funds the diesel retrofit grant solicitations which are coordinated from EPA's regional offices. If Congress does not complete action on the Interior Appropriations bill this year and a continuing resolution is passed until a new Congress is elected, the current FY08 level of $49.5 million would be maintained for another year.
